Presentation Date: Feb 14, 2026

AGSA Abstract

Abstract

This paper examines the evolution, effectiveness, and challenges of remote work training, with a particular focus on fostering work-life balance and employee well-being. It traces the progression of remote work from its limited pre-COVID-19 adoption to its widespread implementation during and after the pandemic, highlighting the critical need for comprehensive training programs to address the unique challenges of remote work. Using the ADDIE model, the paper outlines the design of a structured training program aimed at equipping remote workers with practical strategies to manage stress, set boundaries, optimize their workspaces, and prevent burnout. The program features six key modules delivered through a blended learning approach, combining self-paced online materials, live virtual workshops, and optional one-on-one coaching. Evaluation of the program is conducted using the Kirkpatrick Model, assessing its impact across reaction, learning, behavior, and results levels. The paper also explores strategies to ensure effective training transfer, emphasizing the importance of instructional design, learner characteristics, and supportive work environments. By addressing technical, emotional, and organizational aspects, the proposed training program aims to enhance employee well-being, productivity, and adaptability in remote work settings. This research underscores the importance of tailored, comprehensive training programs in supporting sustainable and effective remote work practices.
