AFRICAN IN RESEARCH (AIR) PROGRAM

Organized by the African Graduate Students Association, Louisiana State University.

The African in Research (AIR) Program is a premier academic conference organized by the African Graduate Students Association at Louisiana State University. This innovative program is designed to showcase groundbreaking research conducted by African scholars and researchers across diverse disciplines. As a flagship initiative of our association, the AIR Program serves as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and recognition of excellence in African-led research initiatives.

The AIR Program aims to:
  • Celebrate and amplify the research contributions of researchers to global knowledge while fostering collaboration across institutions and borders.
  • Provide networking opportunities for emerging and established African scholars within the LSU community and beyond.
  • Recognize outstanding research achievements through prestigious awards.
  • Strengthen the African research community through meaningful connections.
  • Enhance the visibility of African graduate students and researchers at Louisiana State University.
  • Create mentorship opportunities between senior African researchers and graduate students.

We invite researchers, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty members of African descent or those conducting Africa-focused research to submit their abstracts for presentation at the AIR Program Conference.

We welcome research from all academic disciplines, including:
